The earth retention system consisted of drilled-in-place soldier beams with permanent epoxy-coated strand anchors and shotcrete facing. A total of 29 soldier beams were installed. Typical drilled shaft diameter for soldier beam installation was 36 inches and average drill length was 47 feet. Two or three rows of anchors were utilized to restrain the earth pressure.
